Join Our Board of Trustees

As a registered charity and company limited by guarantee, we are led by a Board of Trustees who play a vital role in overseeing our work. We have places available on our Board and would love to hear from people who are interested in our work and who have the appropriate skills, knowledge and attributes. We’d particularly like to hear from people with a lived experience of disability. We need people who have integrity, sound judgement and the commitment to devote some time to Board meetings. In addition, we would really like to hear from people with skills in business planning, marketing, human resources, finance and fundraising. Join the board

Become a Volunteer Befriender

This is an opportunity to really make a difference to the lives of people who are lonely and socially isolated. You will be supporting people to attend enjoyable groups and activities and helping them to settle into a group. You will also be supporting people to do things that increase their self confidence such as shopping or going for a coffee. You will be supported by a paid member of staff who will carry out an initial assessment of needs and also a risk assessment. We are looking for volunteers who have a genuine desire to help older and disabled people for a few hours per week. You must be reliable and punctual, friendly and patient and able to encourage and motivate people. You must be able to travel independently throughout Rotherham. The minimum commitment we are looking for is three hours per week. Volunteer Application Form
